Younger Brother Of Stanley Cup Champ Phil Kessel To Join The K-Wings
The Kalamazoo Wings continue to make moves recently making a deal with Alaska and also welcoming Blake Kessel to Kalamazoo.
According to the K-Wings, defenseman Blake Kessel has reported to the team. He was traded to Kalamazoo in November from Atlanta. After a stint in the AHL with Milwaukee, he returns to the K-Wings.
He happens to be the younger brother of current Pittsburgh Penguins forward and Stanley Cup Champion Phil Kessel.
The K-Wings have also traded forward Tyler Shattock to the Alaska Aces for forward Justin Breton. Breton has appeard in 149 games for the Aces with 40 goals and 76 points.
Next up the Kalamazoo Wings travel to Brampton Friday night before returning home for two games this weekend. Saturday night against Ft. Wayne and Sunday against Toledo.
