Auditions are coming up for The Civic Theatre's Senior Class Reader's Theatre production of "Pirates of Penzance" Sunday, September 11th, and Monday, September 12th. If you are 50+, and have always wanted get involved with The Civic, this is a GREAT opportunity.  The Senior Class Reader's Theatre is unique.  Actors perform with scripts in hand so there's no pressure to memorize lines or blocking. The set and costumes are minimal, so the anxiety of a quick-change or fear of special effects not working are non-existent.  It's just good, clean fun!

So, what can you expect from Pirates of Penzance at The Civic?  What will they be looking for at auditions?  Good questions!  I defer to director Michael P. Martin.

Take it away, Michael!
