The Michigan Renaissance Festival isn't until August but they're holding auditions now to get their cast in place.

According to the Facebook event page the auditions will be held on the following Saturday's from 12p-4p: 5/4, 5/11, and 5/25. There will also be an audition on Wednesday May 15th from 7p-9p.

Several roles are looking to be filled including:

  • Villagers
  • Maypole Dancers
  • Elves
  • Fairies
  • Pirates
  • Princesses

No experience is necessary and you don't need to come dressed in character.

The Michigan Renaissance Festival is held on a 17-acre field in Holly and attracts about 250,000 people each year. It's made to have you feel like you are living during the Renaissance period.

..complete with building reproductions of Renaissance shops, taverns and a magnificent castle. Continuous entertainment takes place on the streets and on 17 themed stages; featuring full-contact armored jousting, comedy and theater shows, music, games, people-powered rides and so much more!

The MRF will be open for 7 (different themed) weekends starting August 17th plus Labor Day.

Auditions will be held at their main office in Holly.
