Baseball is Back: Spring Training Begins
It's been a long, cold winter, but a sign of spring is in the air.
Baseball is back.
Today is the first day of spring training for the Detroit Tigers in Florida.
I've been looking forward to the start of the season since the Tigers season wrapped up with the disappointing loss to the Baltimore Orioles in the playoffs last year. Now, the Tigers are not as dominate as they've been in years past.
Players such as Max Scherzer and Rick Porcello have left. Others have come to the team in trades like Yoenis Cespedes and Shane Greene. I still think the team will be near the top of the division.
I'm also curious to see how the Chicago teams do. Many experts are giving the White Sox a chance in the central. The Cubs for the first time in years getting some love with all their changes in the off season. The way these teams are set up now should make for some great games this year. It's a great feeling to have baseball back.
Now, if only the warmer temperatures would get here.
