The Kalamazoo Growlers have established themselves as one of the best teams in the Northwoods League, but the Battle Creek Battle Jacks are on a mission to steal some of the spotlight and prove that they also have what it takes to become a championship team. The Battle Creek Battle Jacks have announced their 2026 schedule.

This season, they will be opening up on May 25 and 26th with away games against the Royal Oak Leprechauns. In total, the Battle Jacks will be playing the Kalamazoo Growlers 11 times during the regular season, with six of those games being played at home.

With there are now being four teams in the Northwoods league that reside in Michigan, a majority of their schedule is played against Traverse City, Royal Oak, and Kalamazoo.

One of the newest features to their promo schedule is introducing the first-ever third shift game, where on Monday, July 27, during a home game against the Kalamazoo Growlers, they will be playing at 9:05 AM.

The new General Manager, Sam Connell, who comes with a championship with the Traverse City Pit Spitters, knows what it takes to build a winning team, and to bring that tradition to Battle Creek is something he told WWMT he's excited for:

We’re honoring Battle Creek’s baseball tradition, and reimagining what it means to be part of this community. Whether it’s a Tuesday night or a Sunday afternoon, fans will walk into MCCU Field knowing there’s something happening; something different, something exciting to show up for.

As Field Manager Chris Fletcher told WWMT, the Battle Jacks plan to set the tone not only for the season, but for the fans from their first home game:

Opening Week is going to set the tone. From the first pitch of Homecoming Night to the roar of Education Day to the rivalry heat of Saturday against Kalamazoo; fans are going to feel it the first week. This roster is full of guys who take pride in playing hard and connecting with this community. We’re here to bring the energy every single night and make our community proud.
