DEA Warning: Meth Looking Like Candy Headed To Kalamazoo Area
Don't we have enough to worry about? Strangely, many of the things that we worried about before April just don't seem to the weight they used to have. They certainly haven't got less potential for harm or trouble but our disposition has changed considerably.
I would be hard-pressed to come up with 5 things that held a significant amount of importance in our lives before the pandemic. What does that tell us? Were they just not as important or serious as we thought? Or are they simply thrown into a category with many others that just can't compete with the Coronavirus?
Either way we can't lose sight of some of the other things that reach our periphery. I wouldn't normally consider meth coming into our area a huge point of concern which sounds very insensitive considering how many lives it destroys every day. It's just that now, in comparison, it's somehow less of priority.
However when it's in a form that looks like candy, now we have a problem that could have an enormous affect on our kids. A special agent from the DEA's field office in Detroit says the meth looks like Flintstones's vitamins and a child of 5 or 6 could easily think these meth pills are candy.
Another fear is what if they put fentanyl in this form? That would certainly be a game changer. We can only hope that these meth tablets won't flood our area to the extent that they could fall into the hands of our children.
