Former Spartan Reportedly Plans To Be In The 2019 NBA Slam Dunk Contest
The NBA Slam Dunk Contest maybe worth watching this year as it looks like Miles Bridges will compete in the All Star Weekend competition.
According to the story from M-Live, the former Michigan State Spartan and now Charlotte Hornets forward will reportedly take part in the contest for 2019.
He is currently in his first season in the NBA and has been known to throw down some impressive dunks.
The Slam Dunk Contest has become one of the highlights of the NBA All Star Weekend.
It used to be a can't miss event for me when it would feature legends like Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins and Kobe Bryant. It also has featured talents like Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard and Vince Carter.
In recent years the event has featured many younger players that I haven't been really familiar with. I am curious to see if Miles Bridges can join another former Spartan, Jason Richardson in winning this event.
The contest is featured during All Star Saturday Night, which also features the skills challenge and 3 point shooting contest.
Bridges will be competing in front of his home crowd as the All Star Weekend will be in Charlotte February 15-17.
