Congratulations to the Grand Rapids Griffins who beat the Syracuse Crunch to win the Calder Cup last night 4-3.   As you would expect, the team celebrated and even made a trip to a favorite fast food restaurant for a late night snack.

According to Winging It In Motown,  several players after a night of drinking, celebrating and giving each other beer showers, took an Uber to McDonald's.   They ended up ordering $400 dollars worth of food (that is a lot of burgers and chicken nuggets).  Could you even imagine having that much  food from McDonald's?  Beer, fast food and a championship not a bad night to be a Griffin.

This championship is the 2nd for the team since 2013.  That win was also against the Syracuse Crunch, who are the AHL affiliate of the Kalamazoo Wings.

Enjoy the cup win as it is only a few months to training camp and for some of the younger players, the prospect development camp in Traverse City next month.
