It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody that the days of $2.85 gallons of gas are quickly coming to an end, as a new report is showing that gas prices are expected to increase by the middle of the month in Michigan.
People around the state can expect to see gas prices pay anywhere from $.25-$.65 more per gallon from mid- February through April. Wood TV gave a report that came from Patrick De Haan, who is GasBuddy's head of petroleum analysis, and says that the rise in gas prices has nothing to do with tariffs.

However, they could impact us again in the future. He claims that the reason for the increase is the annual switch from winter to summer gasoline, which apparently costs more to produce.
But does anyone actually know the difference between winter gas and summer gas? Is this a real thing or are they finding new ways to just stick it to us?
Regardless, as we mentioned before if tariffs are put in place, the northeast, which usually imports Canadian gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel Will have an impact on our gas, with Haan saying it could be anywhere from $.05-$.15 more if tariffs are put in place.

What Can You Do To Save Gas

That’s right, get yourself a little sleigh and a couple of husky mush, dogs, and you could channel your inner Yukon Cornelius and get from point A to point B like you are running the Iditarod. That’s the best I got, folks.
