Elwood: There's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses.Jake: Hit it!
It's a comedy with some great laughs and a musical with both kinds of music. Turner Classic Movies' Ben Mankiewicz hosts The Blues Brothers 40th anniversary screening. See the original film restored and get exclusive insights.

John Belushi and Dan Akyroyd star in this 1980 film that started as a sketch on Saturday Night Live. Jake and Elwood Blues are on a mission from God to put the band back together. Rowdy, unappreciative audiences, reticent band members and Illinois Nazi's all try to stand in their way. Once the big concert is booked, the show is just getting started. You could go all the way to Chicago for the authentic experience of seeing the movie in its Windy City setting, or drive to Mishiwaka or Livonia. Grab your fedora and sunglasses and hit the road. (Don't forget your smokes.)
