Red Wings To Once Again Host NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City

For the 20th year the Detroit Red Wings will host the NHL Prospect Tournament, which has become an annual event before Wings training camp in Traverse City. 

The Detroit Red Wings have announced that the annual tournament is set to take place at Centre Ice in Traverse City, Michigan September 7 through the 11th.

Along with the Red Wings prospects, the tourney will feature prospects from Chicago, Carolina, Columbus, Dallas, Minnesota, New York Rangers and St. Louis.

Chicago is the defending champions and the tournament is set up to feature the 8 teams split into two, four team divisions.

Each team will play each other in their divisions.  The two top teams play for the championship on September 11th.

Tickets for the tournament will go on sale on July 24th.  They will be available for purchase online this season.

Tickets will also be sold on a first come, first served basis at the arena on the day of each event.
