"Come on in... and pull yourself up a chair."  That's how every Saturday morning started at my house when I was a kid.  Bowl of Lucky Charms in hand, nest of blankets surrounding me, I would get up, willingly, at 6:00am because Saturday Morning Cartoons were NOT to be missed.  From "Pee Wee" to "Pound Puppies", "Smurfs" to "Gummi Bears," and peppered with lessons from "School House Rock," I knew that chores could wait until the ending credits of "Looney Tunes" graced the screen.

Every Saturday kicked off with the feeling of Christmas morning.

Saturday Morning Cartoons has gone the way of the Dodo.  Don't believe me?  Read this.

I'll give you a minute.

*whistles*

I KNOW, RIGHT?!?!

Au revoir, "Snorks," "Inspector Gadget," and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!"

Goodbye, "Captain Caveman," "Tom and Jerry," and "Muppet Babies!"

You will be missed, "Pup Named Scooby Doo," "Captain Planet," and "Super Mario Bros. Super Show."

We are truly witnessing the end of an era.
