Outstanding in its Field- the Plainwell Scarecrow Stroll [Photos]

You can see a rockstar, the King of Pop, superheroes, M&Ms and all kids of original creations made from straw at the Scarecrow Stroll.

It's a Halloween tradition in the Island City and there's not a crow in sight. Businesses, artists, Girl Scout troops and others get creative by populating the city streets with ragamuffin straw men (and women) each October for the Scarecrow Stroll.

This years entries include a couple married longer than "'til death do us part," an accountant at work, a kayaker ready for adventure, a moonwalking pop star, Jack Jack from The Incredibles, a bunny ready for yoga class(!), Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, a collection of M&Ms and the star of the Wizard of Oz. The words to his song may pop into your head as you wander the streets of Plainwell.

I could while away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers,
Consulting with the rain;
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts are busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.
