Styx Pays Tribute To Tom Petty at Kalamazoo State Theatre

Styx has plenty of hit songs in their repertoire, but they took time to play a Tom Petty song during their performance at Kalamazoo State Theatre.

The news of Tom Petty's passing on October 2 released an outpouring of shock, sadness and praise from fans and fellow musicians. Scores of singers and bands played his songs to honor his memory.

At their stop in Kalamazoo on their latest tour, Styx did the same thing with Tommy Shaw stepping up to the mic for the Petty fan favorite "Free Fallin'." Watch and see if you can hold back a tear as he offers a benediction and blows a kiss at the end.
