"The D" is coming BACK to Kalamazoo, after having to cancel their last scheduled date back in 2020. And this time, the show will be bigger and better than ever!

Announced on June 26th, Tenacious D will be bringing their Election Special show to Wings Event Center on Oct. 25th... and it's one of only FIVE SHOWS they're doing all year.

Tenacious D unfortunately had to cancel their last scheduled date due to the Coronavirus outbreak of 2020, and even a petition written by one of our own to return to Kalamazoo seemed to fall on deaf ears in 2022.

But maybe it just took some time for them to find just the right time to make a stop, and now seems to be that time.

"The election is around the corner and we are coming to a campus near you to Rock D Vote!"

And therein lies the uniqueness of this particular show, as both JB and KG are hoping to inspire generations young and old to hit the polls this November, and participate in our next major election.

In fact, all proceeds from the show will be donated to Rock the Vote, which is the largest nonpartisan nonprofit, "dedicated to building the political power of young people, and breaking barriers to participation."

Tickets for the show officially go on sale Friday, June 28th at 10 a.m., but there is a pre-sale starting on Thursday, June 27th from 10 am EST, to 9 am EST on Friday, just before the official on sale time.

ALSO, WRKR will have your opportunity to WIN tickets with the Rocker Morning Show, starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 1st during the Daily 5 Trivia Game.

So we welcome "The D" back to "The Z" and cannot WAIT to Rock D Vote with Jack Black and Kyle Gass!
