  • Gratiot in Central Michigan
  • Missaukee in Northwest Michigan
  • Sanilac and Huron both in the Thumb

According to the latest available stats from the State of Michigan, Huron County, which is the entire tip of the Thumb, leads the state in the number of dairy cows with an estimated 24,400.
