A scary moment happened recently along Custer Drive in Battle Creek when this driver decided to attempt to maneuver through a construction zone.

The photo was shared on Facebook by the Calhoun County Road Department,

This morning, a driver drove around barricades, barrels, and construction equipment through an closed work zone on Custer Drive and was then stuck while trying to cross the railroad tracks. Amtrak travels these tracks at 90 miles per hour multiple times per day in this location.

Thankfully, this driver was able to be towed to safety with only 4 flat tires, a hefty ticket, and a tow truck bill. Just a reminder, fines are doubled in all work zones.

Notice that late bit there? 4 blown tires, paying for a tow and a tickets from Battle Creek police. That's a costly lesson.
