2017 Veterans Day Events Scheduled For Kalamazoo Area

Saturday is Veterans Day the day that those that served are honored.  There will be Veterans Day ceremonies  in several communities around the area.

According to M-Live,  here is a list of the communities around the area that will have ceremonies This Saturday.

Augusta-  Fort Custer National Cemetery will host a ceremony at 11 a.m. that will feature speakers, music and special guests.

Comstock- The VFW Post 6252 will host a program at 11 a.m.  which will be followed by lunch.

Galesburg- There will be a ceremony at the Galesburg Historical Museum at 4 p.m. It will feature a flag retirement ceremony in honor of Kay Maxson.

Kalamazoo- The event will be held at Rose Park at 2 p.m.  This story has more details on the full event.

Portage- Their ceremony will take place at the Veterans Memorial in front of the Portage District Library.
