One of the Detroit Tigers top prospects, Matt Manning has been selected for the MLB Futures Game which will take place during the All Star week in Washington D.C. 

According to the Detroit Tigers, pitching prospect Matt Manning has been selected to pitch in the MLB Futures Game.    The game features many of the top prospects from teams in Major League Baseball.

This year the game will be played in Washington D.C. in Nationals Park on July 15th.  The game is set to be broadcast on MLB Network.

Manning, who has been in Grand Rapids playing for the West Michigan Whitecaps, was recently promoted to Class A Lakeland.

He has been one of the Tigers top prospects and was drafted by the team as their first round pick in 2016.

Manning will be apart of the roster for Team U.S.A.   Another Tigers prospect, infielder Dawel Lugo will also be taking part in the game playing for Team World.  Lugo is an infielder for the Toledo Mud Hens.
