From the mind of Chris Bryan (Board with Life, and designer of Dragon Ball Z: Perfect Cell) comes the sci-fi adventure, Darwinauts. This game takes you through a portal to a dimension teeming with never-before encountered alien life. Your job, as one of the brave men and women explorers, or "Darwinauts", as they're called, is to research and record these new species. Basically, you're David Attenborough stepping through the Stargate. Work quickly to record this exotic world, after all, that portal won't be open for long...

Set for release in Fall of 2019, Darwinauts is a light-to-medium weight Euro-style game of tile-laying, worker placement, set collection, and action selection. Perfect for 2-4 players ages 13 and up, it's one of the latest games to come out of Grand Rapids' Green Couch Games. Sound familiar? It should. Green Couch produced Kalamazoo game designer Jason Slingerland's Into the Black Forest. Once again, you could get in on the ground floor. Help fund Darwinauts Kickstarter, and reserve a copy of the game today!

My initial impression is that this is a beautifully conceived game with emphasis on imaginative artwork and immersive game-play. Also, I love a game that takes under an hour. It's super unobtrusive for a casual game night, and your first training-wheels round doesn't last so long there's no time to play for real. I'm looking forward to Darwinauts, so Kickstarter, don't fail me now!
