I-94 Roadwork Starts Soon And It’s Stirring Up Reactions
The state of Michigan is getting ready to fire up the construction equipment again, as they’ve announced that a 13-mile stretch of I-94 will be under construction in a project expected to take three years to complete.
FOX 2 Detroit recently published the info detailing the I-94 project, which will take place between 275 and Michigan Avenue.

Construction crews have already begun to prepare the stretch of road for construction, and already, people are sounding off in the comment section of their post on Facebook.
When it comes to how the community feels about the project, you've got a split decision. The comments are what you'd expect, from those who feel like 3 years is too long:
If the state actually cared and allocated budget correctly, we could at a minimum rebuild aged roadways much quicker. MDOT needs to open up the overtime gates. 3 crews of 8 or 2 crews of 12 and work around the clock 24/7. Nobody is working when I go to work and nobody is working when I leave work and that’s a big part of the problem.
There are those who took the news with excitement:
It’s gonna be a mess. I drive through there every day. Getting rid of the left lane on ramps is a huge plus. Now start arresting tailgaters and I’ll be happy.
Then there are those who are just plain fed up with all the construction and are acting like the new project manager:
Michiganders are not amused anymore with these road projects that take forever and rarely have anybody actually working on them. You got a week to get it done. The real world doesn't work like this!
