The return of the Metal Gods to Kalamazoo was eminent, it was just a matter of time, but now it has come true. Judas Priest has announced they'll once again rock Kalamazoo at the Wings Event Center on Friday, October 21st, 2022. One of the last times they played this venue was all the way back on January 17th, 1991 for the Painkiller Tour, and back in 2005 with Anthrax, so you can bet this is a big deal. For those of you who may be hardcore fans, you'll remember seeing 107.7 RKR in the State Theatre Marquee inside the booklet of their 1998 Live Album Live Meltdown.

Tickets for the show will be available locally this Friday, June 24th at 10 a.m. Judas Priest are on the verge of releasing a brand new album, which lead vocalist Rob Halford has been teasing for some time now with big anticipation:

It’s not Firepower Number Two, that’s all I can say. If you look at Judas Priest from Rocka Rolla to Firepower, everything in between has got its character and its identity. That’s what we’re working on with this one. I think adventurous is a word we've never used before in trying to explain the content; It’s adventurous. “And now people are going, ‘What does he mean by that? Is it going to sound like Dolly Parton?’ You’ll have to wait and see. It’s great, man. It’s good. It’s solid. It’s a very, very good strong follow-up, as they call it, to the last one.'

Venue pre-sale: Thursday, June 23 at 10am - 10pm

With Iron Maiden AND Judas Priest both playing Michigan in October, you can bet it's gonna be a VERY heavy metal month.

Pop Evil opened for the might Priest back in 2015 for this tour. Their light show is unmatched, as you can see from these photos.
