I love to see a local business thriving, especially despite a pandemic that has seen a lot of our favorite establishments face their fair share of adversity. One such local company that seems to have flourished despite 2020's many curses is Kalamazoo Candle Company. Once housed in the Park Trades Center and accessible through appointment or Art Hop (basically), Adam McFarlin and his team have expanded to retail space, and are seeing their products in national chains around the country, like Whole Foods Market.

According to an Facebook post from Kalamazoo Candle Company owner Adam McFarlin, himself, they are currently seeking to fill two sales positions, quote, "We're hiring again at Kalamazoo Candle! Looking to bring on 2 Wholesale Sales Representatives (base + commission) to help continue our growth in 2021. Details at our website.":

A quick glance at their jobs page also revealed that they are looking for interns, as well, and not just in manufacturing or retail. Maybe you're interested in merchandising, interior design and organization, social media, or engineering, there may just be something for you at Kalamazoo Candle Company to gain real world experience and start building up that resume. Who knows? That internship could be the start of a wonderful career with a great local business. Interested applicants can inquire about current internships at hiring@kalamazoocandle.com.
