It appears that the Kellogg Company is cutting even more jobs in Battle Creek.

According to MLive, the Battle Creek based food company announced on Thursday that they were cutting 79 jobs nationally, with 67 of those jobs being in Battle Creek; the cuts to salaried workers will take effect February 25, according to a WWMT report. Kellogg’s says the cuts are done as part of their plan to restructure their North American division, which initially resulted in 30 Battle Creek jobs being cut last November.

That announcement in November also saw the company floating the potential sale of their fruit snack and cookie businesses.

The job cuts were announced the same day as Kellogg's Fourth Quarter 2018 earning's report, which was somewhat encouraging; Investorplace says that while Q4 saw a $84 million loss, that was still better than was predicted by Wall Street earnings estimates. Looking forward, Kellogg's says that they are hoping 2019 brings a growth in Net Sales following a flat 2018.
