Living the Dream- What It’s Like to Tour the World as a Beatle
The Mersey Beatles are the only Liverpool-born Beatles tribute band and they've got some serious accolades. Bobby Guy talks with Steven about his dream job as "Paul."
For just 4 short years The Beatles thrilled audiences around the world. Since 1999, Mark, Steven, Craig and Brian have been skillfully recreating Beatlemania as John, Paul, George and Ringo. The Mersey Beatles have unique credentials, being born in Liverpool and endorsed by John Lennon's sister Julia.
The Mersey Beatles are the next best thing to the original Beatles.
-Julia Stannard, John Lennon's sister
The bands uncanny resemblance to the Fab Four in both looks and sound got them a residency at the famed Cavern Club, where the Beatles honed their skills and perfected their craft in the early days.
When I saw them play in The Cavern, they perfectly recreated the atmosphere that the original Beatles produced. It was like listening to The Beatles again.
-Joe Flannery, Brian Epstein's assistant
