Battle Creek's Cereal Festival and World's Longest Breakfast Table is This Weekend and with those events comes road closures around the Downtown area.

The City Of Battle Creek announced that closures will be from 5 p.m. Friday and are expected to reopen by 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Grand Cereal Parade will take place at 6 p.m.  Closures to be looking out for:

• Access to Michigan Avenue parking ramp will be from McCamly Street
• Van Buren Street – Washington Avenue to United Way, including Gould Street and parking lots along this route
• Michigan Avenue – Washington to Division Street (overnight closure from Washington to McCamly)
• McCamly Street – at Wave Park area and at State Street
• Capital Avenue – at State and Jackson streets
• Jackson Street extension
• Carlyle Street
• Michigan Avenue parking lot, across from the Kellogg Foundation

Saturday Morning will feature the World's Longest Breakfast Table and closures:

• Access to Michigan Avenue parking ramp will be from McCamly Street
• Michigan Avenue – Washington Avenue to McCamly
• Gould Street; Kool Family Community Center and nearby parking lots
• Carlyle Street
• Jackson Street parking lot

The Cereal Classic 5k/10k will be taking place Saturday Morning starting at the YMCA. No roads will be closed  but be alert for runners.
