Operation Scribble 2019 at Blain's Farm and Fleet in Portage was a huge success thanks to all the generous donations we received from the RKRmy. We saw some familiar faces that never miss the chance to give back, and some new ones sharing their experiences of how Bronson Children's Hospital helped their family over the years. Because of your big hearts, each child that has to be in the hospital over Christmas will receive a personalized gift bag from Crayons4Kids. It will take a little stress of the parents and ease the discomfort that being in the hospital can bring.

Big thank you to Portage Northern Baseball who hosted a Hit-a-Thon to raise money for Crayons4Kids, as well as the gear heads in Galesburg who used proceeds from a car show to buy drones and more for the teens. Some generous pool players also held a fundraiser to bring in some cash. Plus, so many of you had stories of starting a toy drive at work or within a club to reach even more people than our broadcast signal can, because in the end, it's about helping the children.

I want to thank the Leinwand family, Dr. Michael Leinwand and children Emily and Matt, for teaming up with us every year. They began Crayons4Kids nearly 20 years ago, and they are always on the front lines of Operation Scribble carrying boxes, sorting donations, and supplying us with our much needed morning coffees. Also, thanks to Amber and John.

Thank you to Two Men and a Truck for being so generous year after year. They supply the boxes AND transport them to the hospital for storage and distribution. They truly are movers who care.

Special thanks to the wonderful men and women who work in Bronson Children's Hospital and see the impact of these gifts on their patients every single day. From Neonatologists to Music Therapists, these people have some of the hardest, and I bet most rewarding, jobs on the planet. It's not easy to break bad news to a child and their family, but their efforts to ease the blow and deliver the best care possible are what sets Bronson Children's Hospital apart from the rest.

And thanks so much, once again, to the many people who made Operation Scribble 2019 part of your day. Whether you donated in person or made a monetary donation online, you helped to bring a smile to a child's face this season and all year long. It's not too late to donate! Give today, tomorrow, and all year long by clicking here.
