
TSA Issues Airport Security Warning To All Travelers In Michigan
Nowadays, you usually can’t go a few days without hearing about a new scam or hack making its way into people’s data. It seems that nowhere is safe from these attacks, not even airports.
Recently, the Transportation Security Administration released some tips for the next time you plan to go to the airport that could protect your identity and critical information. You wouldn’t think that going to an airport and charging your phone would pose a risk, but as the TSA pointed out, hackers are getting more advanced in the ways that they can gain your information.

In a statement they put out on Facebook, they shared these tips with Michigan residents who may be flying soon:
In this technology age, cybersecurity has never been more important. You’ve likely heard about things like email scams and social media scams (tip: don’t accept that friend request from your buddy’s “new” profile), but today we want to share our two best tips for staying cyber safe at airports while you're traveling.
Hackers can install malware at USB ports (Known as juice/port jacking)
When you’re at an airport do not plug your phone directly into a USB port. Bring your TSA-compliant power brick or battery pack and plug in there.
Always Use Protected Wifi
Don’t use free public WiFi, especially if you’re planning to make any online purchases. Do not ever enter any sensitive info while using unsecure WiFi.
Although these tips are helpful, people seem more concerned about the woman who is barefoot in the airport in the photo they used.
