A hockey fight broke out at a Central Michigan University baseball game recently, as things got to a bench-clearing fight after an altercation involving Central Michigan’s pitcher and a batter for Toledo.

Recently, there was a baseball game between the two teams, and as Central Michigan Life explains, a fight ended up breaking out because of an interaction between two players, which you can watch below.

A fight broke out at the top of the seventh inning of Central Michigan baseball's 6-5 win over Toledo on Sunday, Mar. 22. CMU's pitcher Max Hammond, as well as Toledo's batter Luke Walton and relieving pitcher Ryan Hughes, were ejected from the game. At this time, no suspensions have been given to any of the players involved.

Many people were sounding off in the comment section, and even those from Central thought the move was a little bush-league:

I’m a CMU grad and have no hesitation saying that the Chippewa pitcher was at fault, unfortunately.

Another person had kind of a weird take on the play:

I don't know what happened earlier in the game, but a bunt down the first base line that the pitcher has to cover on, is often a chance for retaliation for a hit batter. That would explain the pitcher's actions.

The previous comment doesn't make much sense, considering the batter would have had to purposely bunted down the first base line for the pitcher to clobber him. There's been no word if a Central player was beaned earlier in the game to warrant the reaction out of the pitcher.
