Today is Veterans Day and it is the perfect day to thank a veteran you know or don't know and their family.

We as Americans have the utmost freedom to do just about anything we want and we have one group of people to thank for that and that is veterans.

This unique group of people have taken it upon themselves to offer up the ultimate sacrifice so you and I can enjoy all this great country has to offer.

Men and women who have served this country and who are still serving this country take on a calling that sometimes many of us take for granted. Its not just those who put on the uniform in a variety of armed services, it is also their families that also made a sacrifice.

Could you imagine missing the birth of your child because you were called into action? Could you imagine missing Christmas with your family? Could imagine being stationed in a foreign land that is riddled with hostility and you have to constantly be on guard so you and your fellow soldiers can make it alive to the next day? I could go on but I think you get the picture.

Think about those soldiers families who also miss out on many of life's events because their son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, sister, uncle or aunt are stationed somewhere around the globe to help protect our country. That is also a big sacrifice.

You don't have to agree with the politics of our government at any given time but when are men and women are called into to action they deserve every bit of support and respect that any of us can muster up.

So don't blow off Veterans Day and take the time to thank a veteran in your family or friend zone or a random stranger you know that has served or currently serving. Feel free to go a step further if you can and thank their families too.

I will start...THANK YOU TO ALL VETERANS WHO HAVE SERVED OR ARE CURRENTLY SERVING, I APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
