Editorial: Once Again Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Disappoints

I know I sound like a broken record (see what I did there) but when is the obvious going to become obvious to those who are oblivious?  Why does every music genre get to be called Rock & Roll when it suits them?  And why can't these non-rock music categories get their own hall Of Fame?  Country does!  Do you see Rap & Hip Hop artists in the Country Music Hall Of Fame?  Are there any definitively Rock artists in the Country Music Hall of Fame?  Let's look at this year's particulars...

As you already know the inductees are The Doobie Brothers, T-Rex, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston and The Notorious B.I.G.  These are some of the nominees that got snubbed: Judas Priest AGAIN!!!, Pat Benatar, Motorhead, Soundgarden, Thin Lizzy, Todd Rundgren, and Dave Mathews Band.  All of them should be in before Whitney and Biggie!  But even worse, bands like Bad Company, Foreigner and STP didn't even get nominated and that's the short list.  In my opinion get all the deserving Rock bands in first and then you can cherry pick.
